Replacing a furnace cable is often urgent because a failed power lead can interrupt production. However, ordering by furnace capacity alone can create compatibility problems.
The fastest reliable method is to document the existing cable before removal.
Take clear photographs of the complete cable, both terminals, water connections and the way the cable is installed. Measure the total length from terminal connection point to terminal connection point. Measure the conductor cross-section or identify the original specification.
Next, record the terminal dimensions. Photograph the terminal from several angles and place a ruler or caliper beside important dimensions. Mark the water inlet and outlet direction.

Record the furnace type, power supply, operating frequency and working current if available. If the cable is installed on a tilting furnace, note the movement direction and approximate bending path.
If the old cable failed, also describe the failure mode: water leakage, overheating, broken conductor, terminal damage, hose cracking or mechanical fatigue. This information can help the supplier understand the operating condition.
The replacement request can then be sent as one package: “Old cable photos + dimensions + furnace information + quantity + required delivery date.”
This is much more useful than sending only “Please quote induction furnace cable.”
A manufacturer can use the information to prepare a technical drawing for confirmation before production.
For urgent replacement projects, Zheng Zhou Li Zhao Electric Furnace Co., Ltd. recommends confirming terminal drawings and cable dimensions before manufacturing.
